Reaching Out to Our Community

Thanks for supporting “The Power of Play!”

Thank you for sharing in the Children's Museum, Seattle's message about the Power of Play at our Corporate Breakfast on Tuesday.

We couldn't have asked for a better audience to hear from our Executive Director Donna Marie Bertrand about how the Museum is changing lives by encouraging the important work of play through the 40 Developmental Assets ®, and to hear the inspiring words from Sounders FC Coach Sigi Schmid and Pike Place Child Care Executive Director Ellen Greene.

We had 200 guests this year at the Power of Play Breakfast ... and raised over $112,000.  Your donation, along with gifts from other individuals and companies in the community, is already at work, bringing smiles and opening future possibilities to 240,000 children and their family members each year.

It's people like you who steward the Museum as a community treasure, making sure it's always available for our children now -- and for generations to come.

Just want to thank you for your donation to Treehouse.

With your help, donations for a 1 day period, was $4,475.00.  There was a very generous friend who matched the amount.  And, 2 corporation friends are getting on board to include Treehouse in their charity contributions.

On March 7th, 2008 Unipro presented a 3 hour seminar to the class on carrier opportunities within the commercial construction trades.  This was a power point presentation with job site photos and educational materials to inform and inspire the students in how to become more involved in various aspects of the construction trades.

This was participation on the part of United Professional to give back to the community for the purpose of helping those interested in Pre-Apprenticeship training in order to reach and acquire the construction skills for entering the trade of their choice.

Go to: http://sviweb.sccd.ctc.edu/p_mta_mta.htm to find out about this exciting program.
